Project
Alpine Energy’s new purpose built, eco-friendly commercial offices showcase the benefits of using 3D BIM (Building Information Modelling) in the initial concept design, allowing changes to a computer generated model before the fabrication and construction process even begins. This translated into greater efficiency as a number of issues were ironed out in the office rather than on site. The 3,155m² of total floor area is split over two levels and there is a commercial elevator providing access between the levels.
Designed and detailed to exceed building code levels to give the building a level of post disaster function, we have achieved this level of structural integrity through use of precast concrete, steel and cross laminated timber (CLT). The CLT enabled a reduced weight in the mid-floor while complementing the client’s vision of a modern yet industrial, robust building. The full development came in on budget and on time, achieved by the in house management team working alongside sub-contractors to ensure time frames were adhered to.

"When Thompson presented their build solution for our new head office development in Washdyke, we were blown away. We simply weren’t aware of the depth of their services and as the build has evolved they’ve proven themselves as a true one-stop shop, easy to deal with and receptive to new ideas. They truly are an ideal partner on this project" |
