Our clients required a building suitable to store bulk products including fertiliser which can be run efficiently for vehicle movements.  In particular the roof has been designed with a front eave height at 10.5m to allow a 56T truck plenty of clearance for tipping and efficient unloading.

This 20m by 18m fertilizer bunker consists of four bays with a concrete apron at the front. The bunker roofline slopes down from the 10.5m to 8m at the rear where the trucks will not come into contact. Utilising 3m high precast panels throughout the building ensures the structural strength and height is achieved for bulk product storage.  The steel and precast are all fabricated and manufactured in our own plants in Washdyke.  You might notice the steelwork is not our usual Thompson blue as it has had a special coating overlaid to protect it from corrosion by fertiliser.
