This 65.5m wide by 86m long storage building, located in the northern industrial area, marks the third building Thompson has completed for this Oamaru client. The prefabrication steel and precast process has allowed Thompson to provide the client with a fully completed building within the desired time frame of 6 months.

The building is a storage facility for dry product packed in pallets or bags. The 1.2m high precast panels create a durable surface to protect the building from forklifts and machinery during the loading and unloading process.

Posts supporting the truss spanning over 65 metres provide a mid-support for a cost effect design. This reduces the depth of the structural spanning members to allow for a higher vertical clearance within the building.
