This prominent corner site in Ashburton was developed to provide QD Properties Ltd with modern office space that can accommodate multiple tenants. Within the floor space of 656m2, four separate tenantable areas were created ranging from 116m2 to 196m2, each sharing the main entrance lobby, and utility areas to reduce overhead costs.
Full height Thompson Precast Ltd fabricated tilt panels’ and aluminium joinery are used to enclose the external layer of the building. The combination of the grey state panels, the dark aluminium and the glass create appeal from the street. The internal walls were designed and constructed to reduce noise, and the entire area is enclosed by a clear span roof, enabling layout of offices to be easily reshaped in the future to meet changing needs.
To meet tenant requirements, two full office fit-outs were completed, which included open plan areas, and separate offices and meeting spaces. Each of the four areas within the building has a kitchenette included for convenience.
